do2, vb. particle. (Lenites; used sometimes with past tenses and conditional of verbs beginning with consonant, and regularly as d’ with verbs beginning with vowel or f) 1. (With copula, expressed or implied, to introduce person or thing to which something applies) (a) (With adjective) Is maith, méanar, dóibh é, it is well, happy, for them.
