tuairim, f. (gs. ~e, pl. ~í). 1. Opinion. ~ a thabhairt de rud, ar rud, to form, express, an opinion about sth. Cad é do thuairim air? What do you think of it? Tá ~ aige de féin, he has a high opinion of himself. Tá ~ agam, is é mo thuairim (go), I am of opinion (that). ~ mheáite, considered opinion. I mo thuairim, de réir mo thuairime, in my opinion. Ar feadh mo thuairime, as far as I can judge. Níl aon dá thuairim agam faoi, I have no doubt whatever about it. Bheith ar aon ~ le duine faoi rud, to be in agreement with s.o. about sth. ~ a bhaint as rud, to draw an inference from sth. Is é an ~ a bhainim as (go), I infer from it (that).
